Davison and Swarts to Flip at the 2014 World Age Group Championships



Congratulations to Haven Swarts and Rylee Davison who will be representing Canada at the 2014 World Age Group Championships for Tumbling in Daytona, USA this November.  Haven and Rylee are presently ranked 1st in their Women's Tumbling age divisions.  Haven leads the 15-16 Women's Tumbling division by consistently landing a solid full-twisting pike at the end of her passes and Rylee put herself in at the top of the 13-14 Women's Tumbling division by landing both of her double flips in her new routines at the Canada Cup competition in July.  

Good luck to Haven and Rylee as they prepare to wear the red & white on the competition floor at the 2014 World Age Group Championships.  


Michael Chaves to compete at...


Good luck to the Oakville Gymnastics Club's Michael Chaves who will be competing at the 2015 Pam Am Games Qualification Event in Mississauga next weekend.  Tumblers have been invited to compete at this multi-discipline gymnastics event at the Hershey Centre in lead up to the 2015 Pan Am Games.  Though Tumbling will not be part of the Games it will be part of this qualification competition.  Be sure to come by the Hershey Centre to watch Canada's top gymnasts and many of Pan America's top athletes compete for a spot in the 2015 Games.



Michael Chaves has also been invited to compete for Canada at the 2014 British Tumbling Championships as one of his final selection events for the 2014 Canadian Tumbling Team that will head to the World Championships in Daytona, USA in November.

Senior Pan American Gymnastics Championships kick off with media conference in Mississauga, 
ON, August 14th.

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- A media conference introducing some of Canada’s top medal contenders at the Senior Pan American Gymnastics Championships will take place on Thursday, August 14th at 1:30 pm in the Hershey SportZone Complex lobby at 5600 Rose Cherry Place, Mississauga, Ont. 

Among the Canadian competitors at the media conference will be Olympic and world trampoline champion Rosie MacLennan and three-time Olympic trampoline medal winner Karen Cockburn, both of Toronto. 

More than 300 competitors from over 20 countries will be vying for medals in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline at the Hershey SportZone from August 19th-September 1.

The Championships will be a qualifying event for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.

City of Mississauga officials and members of the organizing committee will also be in attendance at the media conference.

Canada Cup Results

Congratulations to Michael Chaves and Haven Swarts who captured medals at the 2014 Canada Cup.  Michael took home the bronze in the Senior Men's Tumbling category and Haven Swarts was crowned the Junior Women's Tumbling Canada Cup champion taking home a gold medal.

Rylee, Haven and Seamus awards recipients in the Junior Tumbling division.

Haven won her first Junior level Gold medal.  Rylee landing in fourth place competing double saltos on all four passes for the first time.

Seamus competed double to double for the first time and landed 5th in a very strong category of Junior Men's Tumblers.

Michael Chaves took home the bronze even with a fall in his final pass.  Congratulations to Ben Senior on a great performance in his first Senior level competition. 

Congratulations to Dezember Treleaven on competing in her first Senior competition.

We wish Sean Robertson a fast recovery.  Sean rolled both is ankles in warm up for finals and had to be taken to hospital for x-rays.  Both ankles were sprained but no break.  We also wish Teanna Paris a fast recovery as she broke her arm in training two days before the competition.

Good Luck in South Africa




Good luck to Sean and Ben who will be competing this week at the Indo-Pacific Championships in Sun City, South Africa.  

Niki and the boys have already arrived and were beginning training today.  

Ben and Niki will be staying on a couple of extra days to tour schools in the area promoting Trampoline and Tumbling as part of Team Canada.
