6 ATHLETES FROM THE OGC QUALIFIED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PAN AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS WHICH WERE HELD IN DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA MARCH 22ND TO 28TH
OUR ATHLETES LOOKED GREAT AND DID VERY WELL AGAINST SOME TOUGH COMPETITION FROM ATHLETES FROM THE UNITED STATES, BRAZIL AND ARGENTINA!
CORY MARSH AND LAUREN ROTOLO COMPETED EXTREMELY WELL AND ENDED UP WITH A SILVER AND BRONZE MEDAL RESPECTIVELY.
LAUREN WAS ACTUALLY THE TOP PLACED CANADIAN IN HER AGE CATEGORY!! WAY TO GO LAUREN!
JOSH SARDELLA AND JACK MCGARR QUALIFIED FOR FINALS IN THEIR AGE GROUP AND ENDED UP WITH A 5TH AND 6TH PLACING!
JONATHAN MEEHAN LOOKED GREAT IN WARM-UP AND ACTUALLY HAD THE STRONGEST DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY FOR HIS ENTIRE AGE CATEGORY BUT UNFORTUNATELY FELL ON HIS SECOND PASS. THIS RESULTED IN HIM BEING BEAT OUT OF THE FINALS BY A FELLOW CANADIAN (DUE TO THE TWO PER COUNTRY RULE).
KEZIA ALLEN PLACED 9TH AFTER PRELIMINARIES IN A TOUGH 13-14 AGE GROUP CATEGORY.
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF ALL OF OUR ATHLETES' PERFORMANCES AT THIS COMPETITION AND FOR ALL BUT JONATHAN, IT WAS THEIR VERY FIRST INTERNATIONAL MEET!
