Questions? Ask Us!

If you have questions about the meet please contact us, the coaches first. Though you have the contact information for the host club and the Meet Director you should refrain from contacting them as those contact digits are for the coaches/clubs/officials to contact the organizers NOT PARENTS.

Thanks for your cooperation in this.

Family Fun Night THANKS!

We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated and helped out during the Tumbling Program's FAMILY FUN NIGHT.

The evening raised over a thousand dollars to help the tumbling program keep athlete's travel costs down. We appreciate the enthusiasm and cooperation from everyone in the program who joined us for a fun evening in the gym.

Thank you to all!

March Break Schedule

Just to let everyone know that on the March Break we will be taking the first Sunday off, March 14th. We usually take one of the weekends off but since the second weekend is the 3rd Ontario Cup it has to be the first weekend.

The regular evening trainings will run that entire week as we have a competition.

If you will be away over the March Break please let your coach know.

The 3rd Ontario Cup will take place in Barrie March 20th and 21st.

Mackenzie Dodd on FitForAFeast.com

Two of the OGC's ex-tumblers, Katrina and Sloane, now run their own kid friendly website called Fit For A Feast. It features all sorts of great things for kids including different sport activities that they can try.

Here is one with Mackenzie Dodd showing off his mad tumbling skills.

First Vid on TUM Blog

I'm just trying to put a video on the blog. I will put more in the future if this works.

Demonstration Team T-shirts

This is a note for all of the Developmental Tumblers who will be competing as Demonstrators. We have a few t-shirts left over but are planning to put in an order for a few more. This is what they look like. If you would like one let me know. Send an e-mail to Don. dholmes_tumbling@hotmail.com
The t-shirts will cost $12.
We will try to get them by the Quinte Bay competition. "Try" being the operative word there.

Here is the February Schedule with the changes for the Developmental 1 Tumbling Class (Karen and Kelsey's Class).

Developmental 1 Class CHANGE

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Developmental 1: Karen and Kelsey's Developmental tumblers will now be training on Fridays from 5:00 to 7:00pm instead of the Thursday time. Tuesdays will remain the same from 4:30 to 6:30pm.

This decision was not made lightly and we understand the problem this may cause some families. As it has been noted by you the parents and us the coaches and program directors, the Thursday evening is extremely busy in the gym. Finding adequate space for practise and drills is often difficult and exasperating. We feel that in order to give the class a better training environment and to provide you with the best program we can offer we need to move this class to another time.
We do apologise for the change at this time in the season but after careful consideration and much discussion we have decided to make this change.
If you have concerns or conflicts please let us know and we will deal with these concerns on an individual basis as each situation is unique.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this schedule change.

OGC Tumbling Program Staff

No Tumbling Monday

There is NO TUMBLING today for Don and Niki's tumbling groups (Monday, February 1st). Though your tumbler may have only been at the competition for 2 or 3 hours, Niki and I were there for the whole weekend. Though it may appear that we are taking a day off we are taking this day after each qualifier as we need it to recuperate and to catch up on administrative items. Thanks for your understanding.

Amanda's classes will run as regular.

Hope you all noticed this on the February schedule. If not here is the February schedule again.

Pictures Please

At this meet the awards were done in a different room so I was not able to take any pictures for the blog. If any parents took a couple of good pictures at the 1st Ontario Cup could you please send then to me via e-mail?

Thanks

Don
