Here is a video from the casting department at Cirque du Soleil acknowledging the partnership between Cirque du Soleil and the International Gymnastics Federation. It's and interesting view inside Cirque and the world of the International Gymnastics Federation (know as FIG).
We are looking for a Parent Volunteer to work with Niki and Don on managing the competitive attire logistics for this season. Niki and Don have already started working on the details but would like a Parent Volunteer to assist us as we will need to be in the gym most days and a Parent who can be in the lobby, fielding questions, assisting with making sure everyone has what they need would be very helpful. Please email Don at firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks Niki and Don

Here is the schedule for the GO Faster! Go Higher! Provincial Level Tumbling Training Camp for this weekend October 12th to 14th. We will also give the kids paper copies of the schedule tonight and email it out. It will be at Futures Gymnastics Club address:Futures Gymnastics Centre- Millcreek. 6991 Millcreek Dr. Unit 8 Mississauga, Ontario L5N 6B9 Phone: (905) 819-9042 e-mail: email@example.com
If you have an OGC Tracksuit or hoodie or navy t-shirt please wear them to the training camp. Tranining leotards and singlets and shorts are required but do not need to be the suits you wear to competition.
We will be taking photos of OGC competitive gymnasts October 11th to 16th. Please check to see when your child's group will be having their photos taken. If you child is fine with the photo they have then they do not need to have another one taken. If you cannot be at the gym on the day of your scheduled photo be sure to stop by the photo area as some point during over the course of days that the photos are being taken. Some groups will have their photo taken as a group and not as an individual. Please be aware of this.
On Tuesday, October 9th Twist Activewear will be at the OGC from 4:00 to 8:00pm with sizing suits for you to try on. If you need a tracksuit you can purchase them on Tuesday. All female Provincial and National tumblers must have the tracksuit shown here.
It is a yoga suit style that is fitted so you really need to try on a suit to make sure that you get one that fits. Provincial and National Boys in the tumbling program are required to get the new tracksuit through Twist Activewear. There will be a sample at the gym on Tuesday. I do not have a picture of it to show you hear. It will be similar in style but not the yoga style tracksuit. Optional OGC apparel will be available as well. The track pants, hooded sweatshirt and new OGC T-shirts will also be available to all competitive athletes and their families. Once I have photos they will get posted here on the blog. All Developmental tumblers are welcome to purchase the optional items and the tracksuit if they like. This is not a fitting/measuring day for leotards and singlets for the tumbling program. We will do a sizing/measuring day for leotards and singlets at a later date. Keep checking the blog for details. Tracksuit SWAP: if you purchased a tracksuit last year and you would like to sell or swap it please bring it on Tuesday, October 9th. Parents will be able to connect with each other via the main office. A sign up sheet will be there for tracksuit swap. Please put your name, email, phone and tracksuit size that you wish to swap. Bring the tracksuit (washed) and in a bag clearly indicating that it is yours and leave it with the office. They can then let others try it on if there is someone interested. All transactions will be up to the families wishing to swap and will not be the responsibility of the office staff.
please note that the 2nd weekend has changed from November 9th, 10th and 11th
November 16th, 17th, 18th,
but will remain at the same location, Futures Gymnastics Club. An email was sent out about this as well. Both weekends will now be at Futures Gymnastics Club in Mississauga. Sorry for the confusion as the original information said that the first weekend would be at Futures and the second weekend would be at Burlington BGs.
