Jonathan Meehan WINS!

OGC Tumbler 2nd in Canada
Jonathan Meehan of the OGC places second in his first Junior National Tumbling Competition.

Over the two day competition held in Kelowna, British Columbia (March 14th and 15th) Jonathan put forward a strong performance in what is known as the Youth National Men’s Tumbling division. The Youth category is the equivalent to the Junior National division. Jonathan’s preliminary competition was not his strongest performance but dealing with the pressure of a higher, more competitive category and making adjustments for the equipment and time difference his routines were to be expected. On the second day of competition Jonathan was more relaxed and preformed his intended routines optimally. Jonathan now finds himself on the Canadian Youth Team with new opportunities to possibly participate in a duel competition between Canada and Great Britain this upcoming August and possibly competing at the World Age Group Championships in St. Petersberg, Russia next fall. Jonathan will face his Youth category competitors again in June at the Canadian National Championships to take place in Hamilton. His sights will be set on taking the gold medal away from his Albertan rival, Amiel Clark who captured first place in Kelowna.
Congratulations to Jonathan and the OGC Tumbling Team!
