Canadian Championships 2012



The Oakville Gymnastics Club Tumblers did their best to represent the OGC and the province of Ontario.  With Ben Senior capturing our only medal, a bronze in the Novice 15 and over men's tumbling category, we were still please with our finishes.  Most of our group were in their first season in higher categories and the competition was strong.

Michael Chaves Prelim 65.4 Final 64.2 Total 129.6

Savannah Wepf, Jack McGarr, Ben Senior and Michael Chaves all achieved the qualification standards to attend the 2012 Indo Pacific Championships to take place in Sydney, Australia this coming October but we will have to wait to receive the official team invitations after the Canada Cup competition set for mid July in Langley, BC.

Michael Chaves competed in the Senior Men's category for the first time at a Canadian Championships and landed just outstide the medals falling behind the heavy weights Jon Schwager (AB), Vincent Lavoie (QC) and Junior Charpentier-Leclerc (QC).  Michael has his sight set to perform bigger skills at the Canada Cup in July.  Way to go Michael on your strong finish at the 2012 Canadian Tumbling Championships.
